Ironing Tips, Tricks and Guidelines

May 3, 2017 March 3, 2018 Renee Romeo5227 views

Here are a few ironing tips, tricks and guidelines.

My grandmother taught me her ironing tips, tricks and guidelines when I was a young girl. She had the patience to allow me to learn for myself how an iron glides over the fabric because it takes some practice. It took a little bit of time for me to find my rhythm and not make common mistakes. Over the years, I have improved and found ways to build on her advice. In the process, I have made easy work of all my ironing projects.

My Grandmother had good ironing tips.

Since then, not a whole lot has changed about the basic process of ironing. Technology offers many more options in the way an iron performs but I still use my Grandmother’s old ironing board on a weekly basis. Many of you reading this may not have had a patient Grandmother like mine, so I am offering these helpful suggestions and you can have the same perfect results, just like I do.

My tips, tricks and guidelines are better!

There are secrets to a perfect press. The most important aspect of the job is choosing the necessary equipment for professional ironing results. Don’t worry, it won’t cost too much money to make over your ironing arsenal. I’m not here to break your bank! In addition to great equipment, there are a few great products on the market that will help make ironing easier and (hopefully) more enjoyable. I’m here to share some of them with you.

I certainly don’t mind ironing fabric. When I iron clothing, it makes me feel good to know that I’m representing my family in the most polished way. When I iron fabric seams for a sewing project, it makes the fabric lay perfectly flat.  So, whether you choose to iron a simple cloth napkin, a giant tablecloth, or a gathered skirt, each project will be pressed to perfection.
