Would you like to make and decorate personalized baptism cookies?
You can learn how to make and decorate personalized baptism cookies right here! I made this batch of cookies for my nephew’s christening last year. I baked four batches of my best sugar cookie recipe to have enough to go around at the party. Not surprisingly, I could have made more because my sugar cookies are the best you’ll ever taste. Once you decide which cookie cutter shapes to use, you can follow along with this video tutorial for all the tips and tricks that I use to decorate them perfectly. The secret to decorating pretty Baptism cookies is the application of royal icing.
Make and decorate with a simple recipe:
- 2 Tablespoons meringue powder
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup water (more or less, depending on use)
You will be able to view the royal icing video in the future on this site. Once your icing is made to the correct consistency, I will show you how to successfully draw a monogram, make a sheep look curly, and add ‘lace’ to cookie edges. You don’t have to have artistic abilities to make these look professional. I will break each design down into small parts and show you how to decorate like a pro! Everyone will think that they were purchased from your local bakery. That’s the best compliment you can receive!
Personalized baptism cookies are perfect for the occasion.
You can choose whether to arrange them on a platter or place them in cellophane bags as favors. I stacked mine on a disposable platter for easy clean up. Just be careful because the little ones at the party were grabbing one for each hand. They were a huge hit! No matter if you choose pink or blue icing, the cookies will be the cutest things at the party (next to the baby, of course)!
