Learn How to Reupholster a Sofa Part 3 of 3.

This video tutorial teaches how to reupholster a sofa part 3 of 3. We’re on the last video in this three part video series. Now it’s time to start stapling fabric to the frame. I have a few simple tools that I use for this purpose. None of them are expensive purchases if you don’t already have them. I am using an electric stapler outfitted with various size staples. I think electric staple guns are a great tool to have in your arsenal because they save your hands from cramping. That’s a real necessity when you are about to staple over three thousand times in a row!

This is third in a series: Sofa part 3 of 3.

The real secret is patience. Follow along with me, step-by-step. I share all kinds of tips for making a great finished presentation. I show how to clip, attach, sew, staple and fold the fabric pieces for professional results. Even smoothing out the cotton batting and fabric are easy ways to guarantee a taut finish. Proper fabric placement is a must and much easier than you think. I show potential pitfalls and how to avoid them. I’m not leaving anything out!

You will learn how to reupholster gorgeously.

This is a tedious project but well worth the effort. You can completely transform the look of your old sofa in just two weekend’s worth time. I guarantee if you attempt this, you will be looking to reupholster EVERYTHING in your home. That’s exactly what happened to me!! Each time you strip a piece of furniture, you discover something new underneath that will make you more successful every subsequent time. So, go to your nearest fabric store, choose a beautiful piece of upholstery fabric and follow along with me to transform your sofa into something completely new. You won’t regret it and you’ll be so proud of the results.
