How to Install Vinyl Plank Flooring

December 29, 2016 March 3, 2018 Renee Romeo3200 views

Watch me (and Kensie kitty) as we show you how to install vinyl plank flooring.

Learn how to install vinyl plank flooring over concrete or any other stable sub floor. Are you dealing with a concrete floor in your basement? Would you rather be standing on designer flooring instead? Vinyl flooring has come a long way, not only in appearance, but also durability. It’s convincing as wood or tile and comes in many different textures.  It’s easier than you think and the results are beautiful.

Kensie really steals the show in this how to video!

Are you climbing the walls (like Kensie kitty) trying to figure out how to complete this project? Don’t stress out! I will show you the process, step-by-step. This video covers all the tips and tricks to make your flooring look like you hired a professional to install it. I will cover all the simple tools necessary to have for DIY success. You will impress yourself with your accomplishment. This is a project that doesn’t take much time but can last a lifetime.

You can install vinyl plank flooring all by yourself.

Vinyl plank flooring is lightweight and easy to manage. You don’t need heavy equipment or power tools to finish the job. If you are new to DIY projects, this is the perfect entry level job to start with. I installed my vinyl planks over concrete but this is also perfect for going over plywood surfaces. You can expect to finish this project in a weekend. It’s nice to cover so much space in a short period of time. I am installing mine in our workshop so that sweeping is made easier. Concrete tends to hold onto saw dust, making it nearly impossible to keep the floor clean. With vinyl flooring, the surface is smooth, making sweeping a breeze.
