How to Install Peg Board in Your Garage

How to install peg board in your garage

If you’ve always wanted to know how to install peg board in your garage, this video is for you! This project is a dream build because it organizes a bunch of disparate items in one neat place. Garages are messy by design because they’re just giant, uninterrupted walls. What will you see? I take you through the entire process as I design, measure, cut and assemble the most beautiful wall in the house (seriously)! And… I’m pairing up with Mad Tools – a company that provides heavy duty pegboard hooks that don’t fall out.

It’s organization heaven!

Just think of all the clutter you have sitting around your garage. Most likely, you have garden supplies, automobile related items and household goods haphazardly squirreled away in every corner of the room. Some of you have so much stuff that there’s no space left over for a vehicle! I’m here to change that once and for all. A dream garage is just a few days away.

Your local big box store should have peg board panels in stock, ready for you to take home immediately. Many stores carry panels with white melamine coating – a factory installed plastic finish that can take a lot of abuse. This is perfect if you have all your walls painted white as well. I have faux finished mine to look like stainless steel because (as you know) I like to try to make things look more special than they really are and my garage walls are painted gray (you can check out that video in the Arts & Crafts section of this web site). Once the panels are in place, I can use peg board hooks to arrange all of our tools and items by category.

Learn how to install peg board properly.

Everything is easy to find. By the way, I once worked with a gentleman that said you can tell a lot about a person by the way they maintain their garage – yikes! If that isn’t enough to get you to figure out how to install peg board in your garage, I don’t know what is…
