How to Use a Chainsaw

March 29, 2018 March 29, 2018 Renee Romeo2971 views

I’m showing you how to use a chainsaw.

If you’d like to know how to use a chainsaw, watch this video. My tutorial will show you that there’s no reason to be afraid of this great power tool. I think this power tool gets a bad rap. I think every homeowner should have a chainsaw to maintain a pristine yard. My chainsaw is electric, a great option for those of who aren’t professional lumber jacks – like me. Chances are, your property has access to electricity so this tool is the perfect choice for the average homeowner.

You can use a chainsaw for many reasons:

Hand tools are wonderful if you’re not in a hurry but an electric chainsaw allows you to take care of wind storm damage quickly and easily. It’s a must for Spring cleanup, as Winter inevitably kills off portions of the landscape. I even use mine for trimming small branches on trees and shrubs. An electric chainsaw works better than hedge trimmer for trimming 1/2 – 3/4 inch branches.  There is likelihood that a hedge trimmer will get hung up on branches this large. I argue that a chainsaw is a tool that promotes safety in these situations. Please don’t be afraid of it.

I’ll even show you how to dress for the occasion!

The proper attire is a must when using a chainsaw. Download my list of clothing and necessities here: Chainsaw Checklist. You really don’t need a plaid shirt or jacket, even though I’m wearing one in this video. All you need are clothing items that you should already have. A hard hat is a must, if you’re cutting down a tree that is taller than you. My tree is small, so I’m not wearing a hard hat today. There are only tiny branches above my head. So, let’s get started and I’ll show you how much fun my amazing chainsaw is to operate.
