They will want to try and out-do one another for the most realistic look. There is no need to be artistic because the worse these look, the better! Here is the recipe for Halloween zombie finger cookies:
Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Have cookie sheets lined with parchment paper waiting nearby.
- 4 tablespoons red food coloring
- 50 slivered almonds
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 sticks (16 tablespoons) unsalted butter , at room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- cocoa powder (for dusting)
