FRIED CHICKEN AND WAFFLES RECIPE
AMAZING fried chicken and waffles recipe!
My fried chicken and waffles recipe is so delicious, it will soon be everyone’s favorite dish. I had my first experience with fried chicken and waffles a couple of years ago out in Las Vegas. It was love at first bite! Now, it’s my mission to share this recipe with the world. This recipe isn’t something that you’ll make every day. It’s a process that you’ll use for special occasions or brunch parties. It takes a little over an hour to make all FIVE of the components that make up this wonderful dish.
You can make a few items ahead of time.
This makes your morning routine easy and stress-free. The Belgium waffles and fried chicken should be made fresh but the accompaniments can be done a day or two before. So what do you need? I have a grocery list prepared for all the necessities to have on hand for this great dish. Click here to get it: Fried Chicken and Waffles Recipe Checklist
Let’s get started with this fried chicken and waffles recipe…
We start with authentic Belgium waffles. Belgium waffles are different than buttermilk waffles because they contain yeast. This makes them incredibly light, fluffy and crispy. It’s the perfect compliment to my crispy fried chicken recipe. This recipe contains a secret ingredient that will make them extra crispy and light – not heavy like most breading mixtures. Next, I’ll share a spicy maple pecan recipe that I make every year for the holidays. I’m chopping the pecans up fine so that I can sprinkle them over the entire waffle dish. You can make them as spicy as you like because you control the level of heat. Follow that with sticky maple syrup and not-so-sweet whipped cream and any day you make this will be you lucky day. Enjoy!
